Description
Ford Thunderbird Open Sports (215S)Introduced in June 1962 with a new yellow interior, a driver figure and Corgis famed Glidamatic suspension this finely modelled left hand drive Ford Thunderbird superceded an earlier version, originally released in 1959 (as Corgi 215). Corgi 436 hit the shops in April 1963
the interior was yet another first for Corgi

There was even an accompanying ‘learn to drive’ leaflet in the box – perfect for young learner drivers
Size: Width 23mm x Height 19mm
after which the model was repainted in this new and much rarer pale blue and white variant
Both versions had the same detailed cream interior with rear passenger windows that could be lowered
inexplicably giving them incongruous US Army liveries
cementing its status as an iconic 60s-era Corgi Toy
Both the fire and police versions included driver and passenger figures – whereas the taxi had just a driver
