Nepenthes ampullaria 'Lime Twist', BE-3390Nepenthes ampullaria is a classic lowland species occurring throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Papua New Guinea. It comes in all color combinations and sizes and we at Carnivero have 40+ different clones in our collection. One of our favorites is 'Lime Twist'. This clone was selected as one of the most stunning in the Borneo Exotics breeding program. It produces bright red and black speckled pitchers with a stunning striped red and lime green

they do not like their leaves remaining constantly wet

It’s a cross between a red Nepenthes ampullaria and Nepenthes ventricosa

The female parent is the incredible Nepenthes spathulata x spectabilis "Giant" grown from seed by BE and selected as the best they have produced

we've done our best to grow the plants out to sufficient size to be able to distinguish them

it is rather exacting in its temperature requirements so we would only recommend this plant for people with solid highland conditions (in particular cool nights)

It's a vigorous grower under highland conditions and we've also grow it well under intermediate conditions

Many have excellent form and some of have even produced exudate underneath the lids in a fashion similar to Nepenthes lowii
