The Heart of Man | Plate No. 1
Description
The Heart of Man | Plate No. 1The Heart of Man: Either Temple of God or Habitation of Satan is one of my favorite devotional books and exists in many versions dating back to Catholic Jesuit images from the 1600s. It became popular in the 19th century via pastor Johannes Gossner, who published his own Evangelical spin on these Catholic images in 1812. He called the work Geistlicher Sittenspiegel a spiritual mirror of morality it depicts the consequences of ones spiritual choices.
